FEATURED ORGANIZATIONS

Last Prisoner Project

In the United States alone, there are over 40,000 people sitting in prison for a cannabis related conviction while at the same time, the continued decriminalization of cannabis is allowing thousands of other people (like ourselves) to create wealth doing the exact same thing.

Currently, cannabis related convictions bar individuals from capitalizing on the present government supported legal channels.

Prisoner Project is a nonprofit coalition of cannabis industry leaders, executives, and artists dedicated to bringing restorative justice to the cannabis industry.

The Last Prisoner Project focuses on three key criminal justice reform initiatives:

  • Prisoner release.
  • Record clearing through clemency and expungement.
  • Reentry programs.

Memphis Rox (One Family Memphis)

Memphis Rox is a nonprofit, pay-what-you-can climbing gym founded in 2018 by former film director Tom Shadyac (of Ace Ventura, The Nutty Professor, and Bruce Almighty acclaim). It’s a multi-dimensional investment in the community that goes beyond financing — it encourages youth to get involved in mentorship and leadership programs, enables safe physical activity for all, provides meals, and doesn’t turn anyone away for lack of funds.

Trees for the Future

Trees for the Future is an organization that teaches farmers in danger of land degradation and as a consequence, going hungry, how to grow crops in a way that benefits their communities and the land itself. Falling victim to cycles and practices that are not sustainable nor gainfully profitable, smallholder farmers in Africa, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia needed to break the pattern. Trees for the Future helps equip and educate them over a four-year period about protecting their land and soil, diversifying their yield, optimizing the crop, and learning anything else required to run their land profitably.
